A typical party night runs on more apps than anyone admits: the group chat, a drinking-game app, a trivia app, a recipe site in a browser tab and a shared album nobody opens again. Each one wants its own download, its own account and often its own ads.
Cold Ones puts the three things that belong to the night itself into one app: games, drinks and the people you're with. No ads on any tier, no login needed to play, and the games work offline. Here's what's inside, and when separate apps are still the better pick.
11 party games on one phone
Every game runs on a single phone passed around the room, with 3,000+ questions and prompts in English, German, Spanish and French.
- Party Mode: one prompt for the whole room, no turns. Built for big groups.
- Impostor: everyone sees the secret word except one player, who has to bluff.
- Truth or Dare and Never Have I Ever: the classics, in Classic and Hot & Spicy.
- Dial It Up: everyone gets a secret number from 1 to 10 and acts out a scenario at exactly that level.
- Paranoia: a whispered "who is most likely to…" and a name said out loud.
- They're a 10, But…: every 10 has a catch. Rate again and defend your number.
- Categories: the letter game. Draw a letter, beat the timer, score for answers nobody else had.
- Going, Going!: bid on movies, food, songs and more, then defend your collection to the group.
- Trivia: multiple-choice questions across 10 categories.
- Roulette: a spin-the-wheel you fill with names, dares or anything else.
Party Mode Classic, Trivia, Roulette and Impostor's free categories cost nothing, and Dial It Up, Categories and Going, Going! each have free packs. The optional Classic, Hot & Spicy and Premium subscriptions unlock the rest.

Cocktails: 56 recipes, an ingredient finder and an AI bartender
The drinks side is a full recipe book: 56 cocktails with photos and step-by-step instructions in every language, including two house creations, BUNZE and PIXEL. Two ways in when you don't know what to make:
- Ingredient finder. Tap Add ingredients, tick what's in your kitchen from 102 ingredients, and Take me to my cocktails shows only what you can make right now.
- COCKT(AI)L, the AI bartender. Describe your mood, taste, the occasion or what's in the fridge, and it suggests drinks from the in-app recipe book, with up to three recipe cards per answer. It runs on your phone on supported devices, so the conversation stays there. AI can make mistakes, so check the recipe and drink responsibly.

Friends and Party Passport
The third part is the people. Start a party, invite your crew or a saved friend group, and let anyone else check in with the party's QR code. Afterward, Party Passport keeps the night as a private memory on your phone, with monthly and yearly recaps. It's free and needs a free account; the games never do. Details in our party planner app guide.
One app or five? An honest comparison
Bundling everything into one app isn't automatically better. Here's where it helps, and where a specialist app still wins.
Where one app wins
- One download for the whole group, and only one phone needed to play
- No ads anywhere, on any tier
- No login to play, and the games work offline
- The games you play end up in that night's memory
- Four languages in the same app, for mixed groups
Where separate apps win
- A dedicated quiz app usually has a much bigger question bank than one game inside a bundle
- Big cocktail databases list thousands of drinks; Cold Ones has 56 chosen ones
- Calendar and event apps schedule dates and collect RSVPs; Party Passport doesn't
- Online games where everyone plays on their own phone from different places
If your night is one game with the same group all evening, a specialist app may be enough. If it's a mix of games, drinks and people coming and going, one app saves a lot of "wait, download this first".
How it compares with other party apps
We've ranked the field, Cold Ones included, by ads, price model and whether everyone needs their own phone: see the best party game apps and the best drinking game apps. Coming from a drinking-game app? Our Picolo alternatives page compares that side in detail.
Who it's for
Cold Ones is for adults (18+), and every game is just as playable without alcohol. Free on iPhone and Android, with a dark mode, in English, German, Spanish and French.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best all-in-one party app?
We're biased, so judge by the criteria: no ads, one phone for everyone, no login, works offline. Cold Ones combines 11 party games, 56 cocktail recipes with an ingredient finder and an AI bartender, and party invitations with private memories in one ad-free app. Our ranking of the best party game apps compares it with nine others.
Is Cold Ones free?
Yes. It's free to download, with no ads on any tier. Party Mode Classic, Trivia, Roulette, Impostor's free categories, the free packs in Dial It Up, Categories and Going, Going!, all cocktails, the AI bartender, Friends and Party Passport are free. Optional subscriptions unlock the other games and modes.
Does everyone need to download the app?
No. The games run on one phone passed around the group, with no login and no internet needed. Only the Friends features, such as party invitations and the live map, need the app and a free account for everyone taking part.
Does the AI bartender work on every phone?
It runs on the phone itself, so it's available on supported devices only. The 56 recipes and the ingredient finder work on every phone.
