About us

Cold Ones is an independent party game app, built and operated privately by two friends who thought parties deserved better than ad-riddled single-game apps.

What we make

Cold Ones puts eight party games in one download — Truth or Dare, Never Have I Ever, Paranoia, Impostor, Trivia, Party Mode and a spin-the-wheel Roulette — with more than 3,000 prompts between them. Alongside the games there are 56 cocktail and mocktail recipes with step-by-step instructions, an ingredient picker covering spirits, mixers, fruit and garnishes, and an AI cocktail assistant that runs on the phone itself on supported devices.

Everything ships in English, German, Spanish and French — not machine-translated menus, but every question, rule and recipe written in each language. The app runs on iPhone and Android, works offline, and needs no account to start playing.

How it is paid for

There are no ads. Not on the free tier, not on the paid one, not ever — it is the one promise we built the app around, and the reason we would rather charge the people who want more content than sell attention to advertisers.

Impostor, Trivia, Roulette and Party Mode Classic are free to play with no time limit. An optional subscription unlocks Truth or Dare, Never Have I Ever, Paranoia and the Hot & Spicy and Crazy decks. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, never by us, and we never see a card number.

Who we are

The Cold Ones app and website are owned and operated by Konradin Menge and Niels Steinhof, based in Heilbronn, Germany. We are a two-person microenterprise: there is no studio behind us, no investors, and no growth team. The two of us write the questions, test the games at our own parties, and answer the support email.

Contact

Write to us about anything — a bug, a question that should not have made it in, an accessibility barrier, or a game you want to see next. A real person reads it.
